How Old Are David And Alexis In Schitt's Creek

If you’ve ever wondered how old David and Alexis Rose are on Schitt’s Creek, you’re tapping into one of the show’s most talked‑about details. The curiosity comes from the fun of fashion‑decline drama and the practicality of understanding a character’s timeline. Fans love to compare the sisters’ ages, debate the ages of supporting cast, and see how the series’ humor evolves as the characters grow. This makes the subject both enjoyable and useful.

The main purpose of this article is to give you a quick, accurate snapshot of David’s and Alexis’s ages, explain why those numbers matter, and show how they can help you appreciate the series more. Understanding the ages lets you grasp the humor behind the Rose family’s dynamic, the cultural references, and the way the storyline parallels real‑life aging. It also benefits fans who want to track the characters’ development season by season and writers who use age as a narrative device.

According to the series’ official timeline, David is 26 when the show begins in Season 1, while Alexis is 30. These ages stay relatively constant throughout the six‑season run, with only minor shifts. For example, David’s birthday is briefly mentioned in Season 2, and Alexis’s age is referenced in a joke about her “thirty‑something” wardrobe choices. Knowing David is the younger sibling helps explain why his fashion‑forward, chaotic outbursts often contrast with Alexis’s more seasoned, sarcastic persona.

Fans sometimes see different ages because the show plays with timeline jokes or the characters’ ages are implied rather than stated outright. Common variations include reports that David is 27 in later seasons or that Alexis is 31 after a birthday episode. These discrepancies arise because the writers never announce a strict age change, allowing small, humorous adjustments. Recognizing these subtle variations helps you avoid misinformation when discussing the show with fellow enthusiasts.
